Another vibe for the sunny weather. It’s bolth funny and credible at the same time, a thing not often achieved. A lot of us can probably relate to mr. Biz Markie. He’s not ashamed to sing his own chorus instead of some weak R’nB-ish voice (I’m referring to the music they call R’nB these days), which I always admire in hiphop.
(He knows his singing voice-range is limited, but still it makes the song much more powerfull.)

Sweat drippin’ from my forehead, it’s salty taste dries my lips. And to top it off, Dawn Penn is singing on the background, going; “no, no, no You don’t love me“.
That kind of steaming bluesy reggea, it really gets to me.
Lean back and enjoy matey’s.
If only we had a little more sun, this would’ve been perfect.

Well this band has totally won me over, to say the least.
For more background info;

A band that sounds fresh and old at the same time. A sound that takes you to another level of headbang delight, but that can sooth and ease your mind also. It’s just what I wanted for this summer.
A few songs you should definitly check;
Live on the werchter festival Slow Night, So Long
That pounding drumbeat will get you off your lazy asses.
(Worst case scenario; I’m a tambourine in Eddie’s hands.)
As soon as I heard the bassline on the superior On Call, I got hooked
So little words, such a powerfull song.
(The line: “I’ll come up running”, gives me goosebumps everytime.)
King of the rodeo, this is song is such fun. If you ever happen to catch me driving my “black stallion” (Opel Astra) you’ll most likely hear this song across the entire street.
(Caleb, the singer, shakes his head in a very cool way.)
I love singing along to this song, what a chorus. Though some say it might be just a little too danceable, but then again who doesn’t like to dance. The Bucket.
(The danceable thing => A little inside joke. It’s an overall great song.)

Those were the hours I have been working for the family company at home. That easily explains why I haven’t been as active, on my dear music discovery blog.
The good news is, I now have three weeks of vacation planned. So rest assured my friends, this little blog is not quite dead yet!
