After an evening of heavy drinking comes that terrible morning after again. Well this is what I listen too, to ease the sickness a bit;
Ryan Adams – Hotel Chelsea nights
After the song, there seems to be a little excerpt of Ryan goofing around in the studio. Some weird footage during the song too, anyway the sign says music discovery…

The founding fathers of “psychobilly”, none other then The Cramps. Here I found this weird vid with footage from old B-horror movies. Appropriate, but still a bit disturbing though. Here’s Human Fly;

I just got home from the F.A.C.T.S. convention and I’m so damn tired. I need something to clear my head and to relieve me from those aching legs. The solution; an apple and some apple juice, but I still need a mellow tune to go with that…
The other day I was talking with a mate of mine, ’bout some recent songs I had already forgotten, one of those was “Hayling” from the “triphop-ish” band FC Kahuna. With a very minimal approach they still succeed to fulfill my musical needs.
So kick back and enjoy the orgasmic blips and bleeps, I quote” Don’t think about all those things you feel, just be glad to be here.”

Probably one of those songs that falls into the category; “I-have-wild-sex-on-that-one”. Although, the content isn’t that sexy, but that’s Marvin Gaye’s demise. All his songs sound kind of hot. It’s actually about the government spending money on riches rather then helping the poor.
Enjoy this fine tune; Inner City Blues (Make me wanna holler) by Marvin Gaye.
A new song by the strokes, it’s supposed to be a Jim Morrison homage of some sort, but I for one think you can widely interpret that. It’s just a great song. Julian is really pushing his voice to the limits here.
On the other side performed by the Strokes.
This one’s a Marvin Gaye cover together with Eddie Vedder. The original is also worth your time, but then again, Mr. Gaye often sweeps me of my feet.
Mercy, mercy me – The Strokes and Eddie Vedder
(btw, the footage is from the late 80’s/early 90’s series: Captain Planet, very hilarious show. One of the first educational Super Heroes.)
One that’s been stuck in my car for a while is Maximo Park’s “Going Missing”. Many a time, I sung along to this delightful tune, nodding in time with the beat. The slightly deranged singer (Paul Smith) adds lots of charisma and feel to the somewhat straight forward songs. But anyway, it’s just plain fun.
