A new song by the strokes, it’s supposed to be a Jim Morrison homage of some sort, but I for one think you can widely interpret that. It’s just a great song. Julian is really pushing his voice to the limits here.

This one’s a Marvin Gaye cover together with Eddie Vedder. The original is also worth your time, but then again, Mr. Gaye often sweeps me of my feet.

One that’s been stuck in my car for a while is Maximo Park’s “Going Missing”. Many a time, I sung along to this delightful tune, nodding in time with the beat. The slightly deranged singer (Paul Smith) adds lots of charisma and feel to the somewhat straight forward songs. But anyway, it’s just plain fun.

Well it’s about time I throw in a few cult bands. For the obscure music-hunters among us, today I am your servant…
